Loch Katrine is a freshwater loch in The Trossachs. Surrounded by hills and forest you can spend a day here on the Sir Walter Scott cruising from one end of the loch to the other. The views are amazing and will keep you entertained while you stop off for lunch at the head of the loch in Stronachlachar.
As with most of the areas in The Trossachs the loch is steeped in history. Rob Roy MacGregor was born here and the loch is one of the central characters of the Jacobite era.
