The Boathouse offers lochside holiday accommodation for large families by Loch Earn. With a private mooring and fishing rights there are opportunities for fishing and watersports from the private jetty. A slipway is available adjacent to the property by prior arrangement. With French doors opening full width of the the Boathouse onto a decked area where you can sit and enjoy the activities on the loch or watch the Osprey dive, this makes a great social space for your family.
The Old Schoolhouse is a self catering holiday cottage, sitting at the West end of Loch Earn with stunning views down the loch towards St Fillans and our local Munro Ben Vorlich and surrounding mountains. In the heart of the of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park a good central base for touring the Highlands and enjoying the dramatic scenery of Rob Roy Country. Just over an hour from Perth, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Renovated in 2015 to an exceptionally high standard, you enter the cottage into a superb well-equipped modern kitchen / dining area with seating for 4, with two breakfast seats. From here you enter the spacious lounge with a stone feature fire place with wood burning stove (logs are provided), leather seating, and coffee table. Freeview TV.
The king size en-suite bedroom leads off the lounge, with fitted wardrobe and drawers plus a feature wood burning stove (for effect only not for use). The twin bedroom leads off the corridor and has a fitted wardrobe. There is a family bathroom with spa bath, sink and toilet.
A large self-catering holiday home overlooking the picturesque Falls of Dochart and the Dochart Bridge to the west of Killin. Tigh Muileann, meaning ‘the Mill House’ sits close to the Old Mill with visible waterwheel and magnificent waterfall.
Furnished to a high standard Tigh Muileann offers flexible self catering accommodation for up to 10 guests. The lower level has a fitted kitchen with wall and base units, fridge, dishwasher, oven and hob, a separate dining room with open fire and large table with bench seating. The sitting room has a log burning stove, leather sofas, 1 arm chair, a coffee table and TV on an oak cabinet. One king size bedroom, one triple bedroom, and a family bathroom are also on this level.
The second level has a Single bedroom plus a Twin bedroom with Jack and Jill shower room.
On the upper level is the lounge/sleeping area with a picture window looking out towards the Falls of Dochart. Furnished with a chair and footstool, TV on oak cabinet, double sofabed, 2 bedside cabinets a wardrobe and a standard lamp.
Killin is a vibrant village with a good selection of eating places, bars, shops, chemist, post office and a small supermarket.
Tigh Muileann is well situated for visiting the historical sites of Finlarig Castle, the Blackhouse and the wider area of Perthshire.
For the outdoor enthusiast Killin outdoor centre hires bike, kayaks, and Canadian Canoes it stocks a good selection of maps and outdoor equipment.
Annual Local events held include the Killin Highland Games, Killin Agricultural show and the Killin Music Festival.
Mid Cottage East is a self catering holiday cottage situated in the hamlet of Kilmahog, just outside Callander in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Family friendly with two double rooms and one single room. Downstairs there is a lounge and dining-kitchen. Guests can also enjoy the garden to the rear of the property.
The nearby Lade Inn pub often has music nights and there are several restaurants in the town of Callander. A short drive from the cottage is the fantastic Loch Katrine and the Trossachs with ample opportunities for walking, fishing and cycling.
Leitters Cottage luxury self catering holiday home is located in Balquhidder Station, situated in an elevated setting with spectacular views. A 200 years old stone farm building, renovated into modern holiday accommodation.
The Golden Larches restaurant is close by. The Mhor 84 is 1 mile away and offers open fires for those winter evenings, a good menu and bar with entertainment on selected evenings. Lochearnhead and Strathyre are a short drive away where there is bars and restaurants and a Village Store and Post Office.
