The Lake of Menteith is Scotland’s most famous Lake. As the historical hiding place of Mary Queen of Scots this is a loch with many stories hidden in time. Fishing is a popular pastime on the loch and welcomes visitors from across the world every year. There are several small islands in the loch with one island being host to Inchmahome Priory which is an ancient monastery. You can access the priory from the east side of the Loch.
